Update Plans
Developing software is a time consuming and expensive
business. So that we can continue to develop PhonePad and
provide more frequent releases, we have introduced annual
care plans.
When you purchase PhonePad 5 you also get an Care Plan
for 12 months. After that you will need to renew your Care
Plan if you wish to continue to receive updates. Care Plans
are 40% of the license cost. If your Care Plan expires, you
have up to 6 months to renew it at 40%
Important: Your PhonePad 5 license is perpetual, which
means it never expires. If you decide not to renew your
update plan PhonePad 5 will continue to work. It is not
dependant on having a current update plan.
What is a Care Plan?
It’s a plan that provides you with 12 months of free minor
and major updates.
How Much Does a Care Plan Cost?
It costs just 40% of your license cost (if you renew within
6 months of the expiry date). When you purchase
PhonePad a 12 month update plan is included, so you
don’t have to worry about it for the first 12 months.
Do I Have to Renew My Care Plan When It
Expires?
No. It is completely optional.
What Happens if I Don’t Renew My Care Plan?
You will no longer receive major and minor updates,
priority support, or remote support.
What’s the Benefit of a Care Plan?
You receive all minor updates at no extra charge. These
contain new features, improvements, enhancements and
bug fixes. If any major new versions are released during
the period of the update plan, you will also receive these
at no extra charge. You will also receive priority email
support, and remote support (at our discretion).
Does a Care Plan Include Support?
Yes, priority support is included. Low priority free email
support is provided if you don’t have a current Care Plan.
