PhonePad 5 Workstation Starts Without a Login Screen.

  • You start PhonePad but there is no login screen for you to enter your username and password.  
  • Your username doesn't appear in the main window's title bar.
  • When you try to exit PhonePad a strange login window is displayed.  The only way you can close PhonePad is using Task Manager.


There is a problem with one of the PhonePad DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries) on the Server or Host PC.  The file is called ConfigModule.dll.

Check to make sure that the file actually exists.  It should be located under C:\ProgramData\Cybercom Software\PhonePad5Server\Config.  If it's not there then you will need to replace it.  You can do this by installing server update.

The most common cause of this problem is that your anti-virus/anti-malware/security software that is either preventing ConfigModule.dll from being loaded, or it has quarantined it because it thinks it is infected.  This quite often happens with Kapersky and Avast software.  You will need to configure the software to allow ConfigModule.dll to be used.
