Repairing Your PhonePad Data

If you start getting errors when using PhonePad, the most likely cause is some data corruption.  This can be easily resolved by following these steps:

  1. Ask all users to log out of PhonePad (and PhonePad Admin). This step is vital. If users are still logged in to PhonePad the repair will fail.
  2. Run DBRepair.
  3. Click the Repair option.
  4. This may take a while if you have a lot of messages.
  5. Check the repair log. If there are any red crosses then someone still has PhonePad open and you will need to repeat the above steps.
  6. If you still get red crosses in the repair log and everyone is definitely logged out of PhonePad, you will need to reboot your Host PC/Server to force Windows to release the file locks.
