Using Notification Sounds |

PhonePad can alert you audibly when a new message is received. Although you will probably be away from your desk when a phone message is taken for you, it can be used to alert you if a receptionist is taking all messages for you or you are somewhere nearby when a message arrives.
Under Preferences, there is an option called Notification Sound. This option gives you two choices: Default Sound (which is the standard Windows beep) or Sound File. The second option allows you to specify a sound file (WAV) to play whenever a message is received.

The notification sound will only be played if it can be found on your system. If PhonePad cannot play the sound because the wav file has been deleted or moved, the default Windows beep will be played instead.
Please note that the Beep When Messages Received option must be checked for the sounds to be played.
