After a while, your Inbox may end up with a lot of messages in it.  PhonePad allows you to create your own folders for storing messages you have received.

 

 

 FOLDERS

 

 

To create your own folders, click on the Folder Manager icon on the toolbar, or select Folder Manager from the Tools menu.  The Folder Manager window will be displayed.  The folder list shows all of your personal folders, the number of messages each one contains, and whether it is a public or private folder.

Adding a New Folder

 

Click Add to create a new folder.  Enter a name.  If the Public Folder option is checked, other users will be able to access the folder and its messages.  Click OK.

 

 

Editing a Folder

 

Click Edit to change the name of the selected folder.  Enter the new name.   If the Public Folder option is checked, other users will be able to access the folder and its messages.  Click OK.

 

 

Deleting a Folder

 

Click Delete to delete the selected folder.  You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.  All messages will be deleted.

 

 

Public Folders

 

Any of your personal folders can be made into public folders.  Simply click on the Public Folder option in the edit window and other users will be able to access the messages in these folders.

 

Only folder owners and administrators can edit or delete public folders, or change their public folder status.

Messages can be sorted in personal folders by clicking on the column heading.
