Installing Help Files Locally
In June 2005, Microsoft released Security Update 896358, which effectively disables all HTML Help files located on network drives. If you have PhonePad installed on a network drive then you will probably find that your help files don't work - an example screenshot is shown below.
You can resolve this issue by installing the help files on your local hard drive. This option is available from the Help menu (it will be disabled if PhonePad is installed locally):
When you select this option, the following window will be displayed. To install the help files, click the Install button. Once this has been done, when you select Help PhonePad will open the local help files rather than the help files located on your network.
