Caller ID

If you have the Caller ID option enabled under Preferences, when your phone rings PhonePad will detect the caller's phone number and display it in a popup message.

If the caller is in the Address Book, PhonePad will automatically look up and display the caller's details. This all happens before you even answer the phone. If you click the Take a Message button, PhonePad will open a new phone message and pre-fill the caller details for you, saving you time and effort.

The Received Calls feature uses Caller ID to keep a record of all phone calls received, including missed calls.

Important Note: For Caller ID to work, you must have a TAPI device (eg. a TAPI modem) connected to your computer and a telephone.
