Although PhonePad will automatically add new callers to the Address Book, you can also add new entries manually.  The Address Book features fields for storing all of a caller's address information.  Fields are organized under tabs: Business Address, Postal Address, Home Address and Notes.  Only a small number of these are actually used by PhonePad.  The remainder are for your convenience.


To add a new caller, click on the Add button in the Address Book and complete the details.  Click OK to save the information.








Images can be added by right-clicking on the image area.


Load Image

Add an image for the Address Book entry.

Save Image

Save the Address Book entry image to file.

Clear Image

Delete the image.





OKAdds the new Address Book entry.


CancelCancels the additions you have made.


PrintPrints the Address Book entry.


ImportImports a contact from Microsoft Outlook™.


ExportExports the Address Book entry to Microsoft Outlook™.


SettingsAllows you to specify which fields to import from or export to Microsoft Outlook™.


HelpDisplays online help (which you are now viewing).





PrivateIf checked, this entry will only appear in your Address Book and will not be displayed in the Caller drop-down list for other PhonePad users.        


Updateable by If checked, other PhonePad users will be able to update the Address Book entry (both automatically and manually).        



The fields highlighted in cyan are used by PhonePad in phone and/or text messages (shown in magenta on this page).  Other fields are for your own purposes and are not required by PhonePad - you can store any information you like in these fields.



To open the Address Book:



Click the Address Book button on the toolbar.


Or click the Address Book button on the sidebar.
