If you get the error "Error 10048 in Function Bind Address already in use" when starting PhonePad you can disable it by editing the PHONEPAD.INI file.

Using Notepad or any other text editor, open the PHONEPAD.INI file and add the following line under the existing [SETTINGS] section:

UDPPort=0
