Downloading PhonePad PhonePad Version 4.14 can be downloaded from My PhonePad Account under the My Downloads section: http://www.myaccount.cybercom-software.com. If you receive an error that the file is corrupted, 99% of the time it means that only part of the file has downloaded. The file should be 28.8MB so please check the file size. Upgrading Your PhonePad Installation Please make sure you install the new version of PhonePad into the correct directory. Also, make sure you run the installer *from* a workstation, not a file server. It is important that you run DBUpdate whenever you install a new version of PhonePad. If changes need to be made to the database structure, DBUpdate will perform them automatically. If DBUpdate is not run, you will get errors if PhonePad is expecting changes and they haven't been done. This will not harm your data. It justs means you will have to then manually run DBUpdate so that the changes are made. DBUpdate will run automatically when the installer finishes, unless you uncheck the option. Please note: you only need to run DBUpdate once on a new upgrade. It does *not* have to be run on every workstation. Also, please backup your data before running DBUpdate, just in case something goes wrong. Make sure the correct data folder is selected when running DBUpdate, otherwise you will end up creating another PhonePad database. You will also need to ensure that all users have PhonePad closed down before running DBUpdate. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There are additional upgrades requirements with this release of PhonePad. At the completion of installation an upgrade document (in PDF format) will be displayed. Please read this document before upgrading to this version of PhonePad as there are some additional steps you will need to perform. Perform a Backup Before Upgrading It is highly recommended that you backup your PhonePad data before upgrading to version 4.14. Although the upgrade should go smoothly, it pays to take precautions. Test First If you have PhonePad physically installed on each computer, as a precautionary measure it is recommended to test version 4.14 on one computer first to make sure everything is working correctly before upgrading all workstations on your network. Feedback is Always Welcome If you d.iscover any problems with PhonePad 4.14, we would be grateful if you would inform us as soon as possible so that we can resolve them for you quickly (support@cybercom-software.com). If you have any doubts about how to upgrade, have any questions, or of course if you have any problems, please don't hesitate to contact support@cybercom-software.com.
